Q: What are the different ways that consumers use water indirectly?
Greenwater Technologies: Indirect water usage is that which is needed to produce or manufacture things that we use every day. A vast majority of our water footprint is used to raise the livestock that we eat and to grow the foods that we prepare.
Q: What drinks use the most water to produce?
Greenwater Technologies: To prepare a single gallon of soda can take approximately 50 gallons of water; tea only uses about 9. While both equal a final product of the same weight and volume, soda requires more manufacturing and sterilization than tea to produce. A good rule of thumb is that the more natural a product, the less water it will take to get it on store shelves.
